"FUN FOR FASHION" This area creates an environment that inspires the entire Modtissimo exhibition, spreading animation, catwalking shows and other events. ?It is a showcase of national and international smart textile and clothing projects, draw on scenarios representing different living styles and therefore Fun and Fashion are two crossed concepts? says Fernando Merino, the Future Textiles manager of CITEVE.
At the FASHION ZONE there?s a show case of invited guests like Grado Zero Espace, from Italy.
Grado Zero brings the Liquid Jacket, a retro 70's look motorcycling jacket made by ultra-thin leather, treated with Liquid Shell coating, making it UV and abrasion resistant while maintaining its softness and touch, and combined with a high thermal insulating material. The integration of the most advanced shock-absorbing system and an electroluminescent film brought to an increase in active and passive safety.
Also from Grado Zero the Link Vest a vest expressly designed for Airbus workmen, with the aim of letting them use at the same time all devices needed for assembling and maintaining aircrafts. Thanks to
conductive yarns system and to a long-time ergonomic study, Link Vest is able to combine light-weight, user-
friendly interface, comfort and safety. At the same time Link Vest could be useful for training children and/or
disabled people: this is the reason why we integrated our Demo Kit with a Lego (Duplo) fire station that could
be assembled using Link Vest.
