Project's synopsis

The use of lifting surfaces is widely diffused in the contemporary technical panorama, is worth for all the example of the wings of an airplane. The new illustrated application is motivated from the fact that these surfaces can favorably improve the performances of gliding down and semigliding down boats without altering the condition of dynamic equilibrium on which they are based. The scope of these bearing surfaces is to diminish the water mass moved in the motion of the boat, diminishing the demands for power at speed parity, without altering the typical condition of equilibrium. Other important peculiar characteristic of this flap is to assure a comfort particularly high in navigation in rough sea, eliminating or mitigating in an important way the strokes that this kind of boats gives on the water.
