Project

Based on Safe & Cool European project, the Hydro* jacket is design to give more comfort and safety to the Fireman’s activities. The design construction allows the best funtionality of the moisture barrier, called Safe Hydrogel Padding. The external layer reflects the rays and a FR coating is activated by the heat of a fire. It can
expand up to 100 times its dry film thickness. The second layer works as heat dissipator and thermal barrier. The Safe & Cool European project objective was to develop a thermal and moisture management layer based on a 3D warp-knitted fabric coated with a water absorbing polymer to be easily and cost effectively integrated in current protective clothing manufacturing and maintenance activities.
