Termography. The first step in the Quota Zero's realization has dealed with some studies about the behaviour of man's body in extreme cold and fisical activity conditions. Such studies, based on thermography, have helped in defining and considering some body's areas that are more in the need of thermal protection. In such way a mapping of this areas was  reated and which, afterwards, helped the design of the Quota Zero jacket by protecting them and by avoiding waste of materials and weight increase where it is not necessary if not negative.

Movement and protection. Some other studies dealt with body's movement, with the important help of professional climbers, in the way to optimize gestures and avoiding hindrance and poor freedom of movement. Such studies were supplemented by those on the specification of body's areas to be protected.
